With each performance Alder Street manifests a new battle between the forces of traditional twang and rock ‘n roll. Rooted in acoustic instrumentation, they lash out with soul-laden vocals, lightning-infused solos, and a driving rhythmic core. They also go on eclectic jaunts into tango, folk, funk, and more. Having played around the Pacific Northwest for over 15 years, their rough-hewn roots have given way to tight song arrangements which occasionally evolve into instances of band-wide improvisations.
