About Mad About The Boy:

Shadowy alt-rock band Mad About The Boy was formed in Los Angeles by guitarist/vocalist Walker Ashby in 2019. MATB released their debut album "Top Earner" in 2020. In 2024 the band released their sophomore album "Grim Task" that debuted Skyler Conner on bass and vocals. Ashby states the band was named after a clip in the classic Hollywood noir film "Sunset Boulevard". Mad About The Boy skulk in the shadows of Los Angeles with a spacious and hypnotic sound. Mournful voices and thick screaming guitar simmer into a brooding tone. Songs play as fresh compositions bending and writhing beside confessional lyrics. While influences can be spotted, MATB catch audiences off guard with a style completely their own.
